Olympics Design
For this project, we have to have a core idea that we will stick to till the final logo. The core idea is summer - when the event will happen. Eco-friendly, a local representation assuming Portland is the location and sport. The overall visual of the logo is a torch’s flame, which signifies the Olympics tradition of lightning the torch throughout the game. The flame is inside the sun, which is the representation of summer. At the same time, the center flame shaped like a leaf represents Portland. Overall this logo is recognizable wherever color or where it is on. On the other hand, the color chosen was the Olympics symbol colors.
The logo should have something to do with the Olympics, world celebration, and Portland and the core ideas. The torch is the primary visual as it represents the Olympics Flame tradition every game. While the sun at the back is for the summer when the event is happening, the flame inside has a leaf-shaped flame representing Portland being eco-friendy
